Hi people I’m new here and I just purchased My first 2001 Solara Sle V6.
Car has a white pearl paint job, thank God I purchased it from a very
Repadible Toyota Dealership, I found out 4 days after I took possession
Of the car that ever panel on the car was repainted, and the rad support was replaced.
The dealer is taking the car back and giving me a replacement same year with 20K miles
less, this new one is gold in color, with the same options as the white one.
I have not seen the car yet, should be there Monday or Tuesday.

How do I add Images??[/img]

Good luck. How did you find out it was painted? Usually any small hit the whole car has to be painted because the inability to match pearl white.

Hey bro, welcome to the site! :-) I'm sorry to hear about your first Solara, but I'm glad things are working out and you are getting a suitable replacement. I'm sure you will enjoy the car!

To post pics, you must have your pics up on the web (hosted at a site such as photobucket, car domain, or the like)... all you gotta do is click the image button, paste the direct link to the pic, and click the image button again (to close the tag). You can also simply type in

Have fun!

They say never look at cars on a rainy day.
I looked at this car a a bright sunny day, last Saturday 12th.
I took it home on Monday the 14th.
As soon as I pulled into my driveway the lights hit the car and I could see the driver door did not match, the next day and it was raining and cloudy
I could see the mis match on the door.
Then I was running a wire for my XM and a hunk of dash bracket
fell out from under the dash.
I started looking under the hood, and wala!
Took it back to the dealer and they said this car should not been on the lot. We are very sorry and will do what ever needs to be done to make you happy.
I'm picking up a gold one on tuesday.
Here are some pictures of the White pearl SLE.

Welcome man.
Yeah sorry to hear about your early luck.
It is very hard to repaint teh car DWP and match it.
You would have to pain the whole side to match it up.
Yeah stick around here and you will get all the car lingo down like no other.

Welcome to SG (SolaraGuy)... Just pay attention and use common sense for the lingo, like:

DWP = Diamond White Pearl, a color many people rave about for some reason (I have Absolutely Red, so I have no clue why).
TRD =Toyota Racing Development, factory-based car modification manufacturer, like NISsan MOtorsports is to Nismo and HOnda MOtorsports is to Homo (kidding).

There is probably 1 i'm not sure.
If that is the case that you are the only gold one one here.
That would be cool, cause no one else would have your color. :D
