Hi, this is Mel, I just bought a '01 solara se. It's 4-cylinder stick. I love the ride but do wish I could get more power out of it though. I'm looking to get rims, springs, and maybe an intake. I really love the TRD kit but the funds are limited so I will be checking the FS/WTB forum much for cheap new and used parts. Great site.

there are some trd kits floating around for 600 or so nowadays...they might go cheaper, I know mike had some for 500 a while ago, but good luck with it, and by the way, do not buy a body kit off ebay unless it is a trd, the fiberglass stuff on ebay is worthless.

congrats on the car, i love it, we love it, and im sure you will love it

thanks for all the help

Postby moojoopoo » Mon Nov 07, 2005 1:50 pm

hey guys, thanks for the help. i have a silver gen1 i believe. i really don't know much about cars.

just wondering what you guys think. i have camry alloy 16"s. would it look dumb to lower (just springs for now) my car and still ride on 16"s or would the drop make them look really small?

not much excitement with my face. i'm filipino but a couple people have told me i resemble michael clark duncan from the green mile. i have to learn how to post pics. thanks again.

Welcome!! We look forward to your first pics.

Re: Lowering with the stock 16's: What a great way to make your tires look bigger! Close up the gap on the wheel well. You'll find many of us selling wheels online. You can get some great deals. See various postings about wheel size and offsets.

As for posting pics: Check out the SolaraGuy FAQ. Posting pics is easy. Get a free subscription to an image hosting site such as imagestation.com or photobucket.com. Upload pics and then right click for properties. copy the whole URL location.

Than come back to your post on SG, type and it should be there!

PM any of us mods if you have questions.
