Hello everyone. Been on the boards for a while, but I finally got a Solara. It was my moms old car and they gave me a hell of a deal I couldn't pass up. It's a 99 se with only 17,000 miles! Just got it 2 weeks ago. Last weak I claybared the car, and gave it a few coats of wax. I ordered Tein springs and Tokico struts, and am in need of new camber plates. Going to get a camber kit too (Hawaii has harsh laws with modifications). Also ordered the TRD kit, and will install it when I have time, maybe in the summer. Other than that, I plan on trd sway bar (maybe the whiteline front), new sound system, rims, and hopefully a supercharger. Plan on making it what my dad calls a "pussy wagon"

A picture I took of it today, North Shore Oahu.

Brian,

Welcome to the forum. Your 99 solara has only 17K and here I am with an 04 with 16K...lolz. I'm sure your car still drives like new.

Pic looks great. Good luck with all your mods/upgrades and keep us posted.

Lates,

Anyway back on topic, welcome to the forum and that is an amazing thing... a 99 with only 17k... but when you live on an island how much can you really drive... LOL

I lived there for 2 years... one lap around the island took an hour (not all hiway) but I hear they connected the west side of the island so maybe it's two hours now! I bought a Honda Shadow when I was there so I could do laps around the island and pretend I was on a road trip!

bri_n_m, have fun with mods and Welcome! Wave to Waianai for me... lots of lost memories on that beach that used to be the end of the road! (probably before you were drivin')
