Cheers to the Solara Guy! I'm so glad I found you all.
I'm in an '04 Solara ragtop that I pre-ordered last year and picked up in April. I love the ride.

<Excessive chatter deleted by request>

Anyway... good to find a Solara support group. I'll be chiming in frequently over the next year.

you could always get an mp3 player like an ipod and wire that up to the system there are a few threads on that. ( that might save ya some ripping and tearing into the head unit).

Id be curious to see what you would do with a PC and wiring up the controls threw a steering wheel.

anyway welcome to the forum

Glad to see you finally got your car. Sorry to hear of the issues. Good luck with your mp3 option.

Here's an mp3 alternative until I get I.C.E

How bout some pics?

Since you're in the Chicago area, perhaps you can make it to a Solara meet near the Woodfield Mall. I may make it up there again for the HIN show.

Happy Holidays!

It was a slow night and I've been alone with my Solara thoughts for 8 months! Lots of catching up to do! Anyway... I'm glad you conserved time and skimmed. Thanks for the welcome!

Forum Description: "New and Old SolaraGuy members should post a hello message here to let everyone know who you are. Tell us about your Solara! We want to know."

Recommend you add: "... and keep it short. We have short attention spans here and anything beyond year, color and body style will get you flamed."

But thanks for the editorial assistance. 8)

MP3 temp solution...

Postby Down2TheC » Sun Jan 09, 2005 7:03 am

After searchin' around I'll be trying out the AUX-BOX tutorial as a temp solution. Then I can add in the PC when I've speced out the display and software. Nice temp step since it ditches the cassette adapter (chugga-chug-chug). thanks for all the MP3 tips.
