I joined this forum yesterday- Mikei from Dania Beach, Florida. My Solara is a Canadian version built in Kentucky. I purchased it September 9, 2005 in Canada and I already have 10,000 trouble free miles on it. My previous car was a 2002 Toyota Camry V6 XLE and I love the Solara, more stylish, more power and a
convertible, how can you go wrong. It is a good thing they did not badge the Solara as a Lexus or a lot of us could not afford one. I live in Vancouver, Canada
in the summer and in Dania Beach, Florida in the winter. Perfect for a convertible. We cannot get Navigation in Canada so I had it installed here in Florida,
but that is a whole story in itself, very difficult and expensive but worth it. I also had XM reciever installed and it is very nice especially with the NAV screen.

ASC/VSC/oem mud flaps/oem wind deflector/oem clear licence plate covers
XM Satellite and just installed oem Navigation

Soon to be added- TRD lowering spring set/anti-sway bar/strut tower brace/performance air filter.

Still to think about- TRD wheel tire package/ sport muffler ( I am concerned about the level of noise from the sport muffler- can any one tell me more about this?

Glad to be part of this forum

Congrats and welcome! I'm not sure about the '04's, but when I had a TRD exhaust on my '00, it was pretty mild. You really can't tell you have an aftermarket exhaust unless you floor it or you get into the higher rpm's. IMO, it's not worth it for the money and for about 3-4 hp gain (if you're looking for performance), but it's great if you want to keep the noise level down. The lowering springs make such a big difference...check out my fiancee Junest's ride...

Another Gen 2 drop top to the forum is great news. Checked out your imagestation and ride is looking very nice. Sounds like you will be doing quite a bit of moddin' and upgradin' as well. Very happy to hear that you've had nothing but maintenance free cruisin'.

The TRD muffler sound has been discussed on the forum already, just do a search on it.

Here's Larry's gurl drop top with TRD lowering springs and 18s Donz Lucianos.

September 9, 2005, eh? Is your car a time-traveling car with doors like Micheal T's? Are you back from the future? Or did you get 10,000 miles in less than three months! WOW :shocked!:

welcome! :bday: the trd muffler ain't that loud at all; i was rather dissapointed with it, i never wanted a cai or a aftermarket intake (other than a k&N drop in filter)...so for me..the noice level was marginal when i went with trd stports muffler!
