The tires are going to be either the toyo's or the bridgestone el42's or el40's or something like that. Lets hope that you got the Toyo's. Congratulations on the new purchase and welcome to solaraguy.

Welcome to the forums. If your car come with bridgestone tires, those are pretty good.

She said pretty good, not great. I think that is a pretty accurate assessment. What specific performance problems have you noticed? I've had the Bridgestone OEM's for over a year so far in rain, snow, etc and haven't had any problems so far. Perhaps the SLE's added safety features make it less important to have stellar all-weather tires. Non-SLE's might have worse bad-weather tire performance. Only performance issue I've seen is high speed turns where the weakness is now in the tires after I replaced the rear sway bar. But for normal driving, I wouldn't say it's crap at all and isn't almost all driving normal driving? How often do you race and do twisties? I'm interested in finding out the life of these OEM tires. What's the most mileage anyone has gotten so far with them (17" Bridgestone EL42's)?

i dont mind the bridgestones BUT do a search in the gen 2 section on tires and see how many swear words are used to describe the tires by more than a few people
