Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I have been busy with work lately, but I have been browsing the website during my short moments of free time and am really impressed with the things I am reading. Everyone here has a real dedication and love for their cars which is great. I learned already a lot of things about my Solara from this site. I can't wait to learn more by asking questions and/or researching more.

I live in Mission Viejo, CA. It is about an hour drive south from Los Angeles.

I really have to say that it has been only a few weeks and I really like this car a lot. It is nice to have a car that I actually enjoy driving. My previous previous auto was a 2005 Nissan Frontier V6 6-speed. I really loved that truck, but some ricer clipped me on the freeway and I flipped a few times. After that, I was driving a Kia Spectra for a while. I did a few mods with it such as headers, exhaust, intake, and some other minor mods and it was a decent car to drive and it was much quicker than Civics and Integs, but almost anything is. It was fun having people say, "wow your car is fast for a Kia!" Haha. Kia did earn my respect because the car was much better than I could ever expect from a Hyundai motor (Beta II). The only problem is that it handled like a Radio Flyer wagon. Haha. My lowered 1998 Nissan Frontier had better handling than the Kia.

I really look forward to doing a few things with the car, but nothing major like a turbo setup as I do not have the financial means for it at the moment. It is also great to be on this forum as I see a lot of people really love their Solaras here. All the generations looked great and this part of me is happy that Toyota no longer makes it as it gives us some kind of exclusivity.

Thanks again for the greetings and for the knowledge you all will share.
