Welcome! Very nice looking car! Luv the flush wheels!!!

Btw, why not swap a bigger engine in your ride? instead of trading car for an '06?

BIG BIG thanks for warm welcome :) Rims are from lexus RS (still there is lexus logo, but i'm searching for toyota ) I thought about swap (I know some guy who swaped 5sfe to 3vzfe ) But engine is not only thing that i want change : breaks are weak, no abs, no esp, leather is old and used and many other things. It will be much cheaper if i will buy new one and start to modify it.

i have stock solara for two reasons : Poland is country of cars like VW golf, passat, bmw etc... and solara is so unique and rare car that is no need for making any external modifycations and second reason is that there are no parts for any mods :( I know few guys with solara 1 gen, 1.5 gen and 2 gen - but everyone have stock version.

So big thanks again for welcome :)

P.S. If you want for photos of polish girls and solara - no problem :) I know many beatifull girls :) :) :)

My guess is that someone in the military brought it over with them from the states and sold it before he came back stateside.

Here at the dealer auctions, in Kentucky, there are actually alot of foreigners bidding on cars here and exporting them. Solaras and Celicas seem to be a big hit with them.

If its hard to find mods for your Gen 1, then your in for a treat finding mods for a Gen 2. IMO I love the way the Gen 1 looks. That was the main reason why I bought one. That and I fell in love with the 1MZ-FE.

BUT if you like the Gen 2 then go for it. Mod it up!!!!!!! 8) 8) 8)

Exactly ! I bought it from some military guy from U.S base in germany. But know it's no problem to buy car in usa and bring it to europe (car + 800$ for container and + 30% for tax ) Only problem is with lights (in europe are other standards). I'm not modify my 1gen because in few months i will have v6 - that's only reason.

Previously i had v6 '94 camry (europe version) with some mods - but this car was scrap. I had problems with engine (oil leaks from everywhere), suspension , transmision, brakes - everything. I disassembled and assembled engine every weekend. And that was reason why i bought 2.2 - i heard that this is 'resistant' engine and that's true.

Hello again :) I didn't write a lot on this site, but read all new threads and tried to gather a lot of info abou solara gen2. And finally I bouht one - 2005 sle v6 with light leather, navi and other stuff. It's completly stock now, and firs thing that i must do is get information about history of this car.

She came to Poland in 2007, and wait in some guy's garage (some polish-russian guy bought it but he lives now in Canada), so i will be firs owner in Poland. Mileage is about 51k km ( about 38k miles) I now that she was hit on the front-driver side. I know that front glass is original, but driver front light and parts over the driver front wheel are new. Horn doesn't work (but fuses are good and i hear click from fuse box when i push horn). Everything except that is good and ride is nice :) So I want to make little investigation - is there any chance that when I give You VIN that i will be know what was the past of my solara ? There is sticker on the top of front glass that next oil change and car review is in Toyota in May and at 58k km. Could You make photo of Your engine number and show me how it is look ? Maybe you have photo under solara, because i want to know that undercarriage is good or not. Maybe You have photo of some critical elements, with some - i don't know - special toyota marks, numbers or something else.
vin : 4t1ca30p15u053648
Thanks a lot for Your help :)

If You want to see my wife's first ride in new solara - it's on Youtube :)
