Hey, gang! Man! Thanks for the big "welcome." I'm impressed!
I certainly don't mind putting up some pictures, but for now at least, it's basically stock. I don't want to disappoint anybody; that's for sure.
As far as "amenities," it's got a sunroof, 6-CD changer, 4-cylinder, 4-speed automatic(what a monster! Actually, I use the sequential shifting a lot.), after-market floor mats, trunk liner, and LP frames, and some other stuff.
As far as mods go, the first order of business is to put in a "real" stereo. After that, I'll basically be open to suggestions and ideas. Does anybody know of any web-sites or catalogs that cater to us? Just curious.
Anyway, until next time, y'all take care, and thanks again for the hospitality.

See ya',

JP

P.S. Hey, chrom3titan, I'm dyin' to know. Why would someone intentionally move from Texas to cold-ass NY?

Well, I don't know much about Gen 2 Solaras like yours, but from what I've read here the TRD RSB is popular. So is the TRD exhaust.

Hey, Jakecallun20, and thanks for the message; I appreciate it. So maybe you can tell me more about TRD RSB, and some approximate prices.
Also, where'd you get your wheels? They're kinda' cool lookin'.

Thanks,

JP

The TRD RSB stands for rear sway bar, it helps with body roll. I'm not sure how much they cost for Gen 2 Solaras but for Gen 1's like mine, they are $150 from NVISD1 (I think thats how his name is spelled) So PM him and ask about them, he works for Toyota. As far as my wheels they are stock rims that came with my 99' SLE. Hope this helps.

Hey, Jake, and thanks for the message. It sounds like you're a pretty "hard core" driver. Unfortunately, here in Houston, we don't have lots of places to participate in that type of driving. If you know of a few, please let me know.
So what kind of stereo did you go with, and where do you think I can look at a wide variety of AM wheels?
Thanks in advance, Jake; I appreciate it.

JP

P.S. If anybody else has any input, I'd be really grateful. I admit it; I'm basically a "Solara Virgin." Thanks!

Hey. I don't really know what kind of driving your talking about Drag racing? Drift? I don't really know where you could play with your car like that. For my stereo system, I went with a Kenwood KDC-MP332 with an iPod hookup in the glove box, sounds pretty nice. For wheels you could check on eBay or Discount tire co. has a good selection of wheel/tire combo deals for pretty good prices. Only one I know of is here in Cedar park/Austin. Its at the 1431 and parmer intersection. Hope that helps. 8)
