The Artic Frost was my first color choice but I got too good of a deal on the black. Enjoy it!

hey , thanks so much everyone for welcoming me, I did sign up for toyotanation also under the same user name. I actually discorvered that site before this one.I got the 4 cyl., someone said its real good on gas, how much is it to fill up the tank?? With the civic it was only like $25.00 even with the high gas prices over here. I was thinkin it costs like 40-45$ to fill the tank?
Also, the Arctic frost 06 4 cyl. SE- took forever to find one at a dealership!! I couldve got a great price on silver or red cuz thats all everyone had in stock, but i would only get the solara in the frost color, no ifs ands or buts to any salesperson! I cant wait to start hookin it up

Yea unfortunately for the 06, We had to go to many dealerships & I was even looking on the internet for it.I put a down payment on one that wasnt even in stock, they had to find one for me & finally was going to get one but I had to wait over 1 month! They had 2 white 06's but V6 and no SE.I finally found one at a dealership an hour away from my house & not lettin it go.Sux, I gotta drive an hour to get the car, but it's well worth it.

^^That reminds me when I got my '00 in Oct. '99 and had to wait almost 3 weeks. They had to search for the Black Sand Pearl in V6 5 speed manual. Finally got one from a dealership an hour away, turned out the owner of the dealership drove around in it. It's totally worth the wait, when you get what you want...man were they really pushing the white (DWP) because they were overstocked! :D

Welcome back from the dark side. (Ha, ha) I think you'll be very happy with your choice.

You'll really like the crew we have here in SolaraGuy. But judging by the number of ladies that have joined recently, perhaps we should be considering a new name for the site?

Please post up pics as soon as you can!

Later,

Correct me if I'm wrong guys (I have a V6 so I don't really pay attention to the 4 banger parts). There are no Cold Air Intakes available, however there are several Short Ram Intakes on the market... Notable ones are:

Injen part # IS2025 (IS Series) says it's for 02-03 4cyl, but Gen 2 4cyl is a carry over from gen 1.5, so it should work...

Weapon R part # 305-144 (Secret Weapon Series)

AEM will have a Short Ram Intake available soon as well...

There is one other decent company that makes a SRI for the 02-06 Solara 4 banger that I can't think of at the moment... I'll post if I can remember it, otherwise maybe someone with a Gen 1.5 or Gen 2 4cyl can think of it.

Peace,

-James
