So when are you getting ur G35? man i cant wait to see some pics! :D

Yeah, I guess I back the G35 up so much because I plan on getting one maybe around the end of this year or the begining of 2005. So yeah I'm a G35 Lover! My Solara will become my work car, and the G35 my weekend car. That's why i'm selling my nice Solara Wheels...

Thanks Rene...I've been wondering about that myself....maybe this forum should be called solaraguywisheshedroveag35.com instead, LOL...that is a joke.

The G35 is a different car that appeals to a different market than the Solara - regardless of generation. Before you talk about how great Infinity reliablity is you might want to look at the figures for the G35...it is built on the 350z platform and the 350z looks more like a Kia when compared to the Gen 2 in terms of reliability. I know 2 people here in Atlanta that had their G35 taken back under the lemon law.

Ha ha ha... that's some funny stuff! That made my day!

I'ma get my were it says Moderator to "solaraguywisheshedroveag35.com" Ha ha...so true!

gotta have a sense of humor!

what size are your wheels?

If you buy the G35 and keep the Solara, make sure your insurance co has the Solara listed as the primary car. It will save you some $$. Most insurance cos consider the Solara to be a Camry. My boss has his Boxster listed as a second car and his insurance is dirt cheap.

My wheels are 18 inch.
Check them out in the for sale section!

Yeah, of course my solara is gonna be primary on my insurance! But damn, I can't wait!

I'm also holding off on getting one because i wanna see if they are going to make some slight redesigns for 2005! 8)

Hopefully they'll take care of all the little crap that was inherited from the 350Z...Nissan just did a huge inspection of the plant that builds both the Z & G and found a lot of little things that were causing defects. Apparantly guys on the assembly line were wearing wedding rings & it was causing a lot of scratches on paint & the interior.

I say the above with the same hope I have for Toyota fixing the farting sunroof, rattling rear deck, left drift (avoided that one so far) and other problems...even with them I still love the car.

One are the G35 and Z are better in is the paint. Every color looks wet. I put Poorboy's EXP on a coworkers Z and was very jealous...her dark metallic gray popped while my lunar mist metallic is just very bright & reflective.

Your wheels look sweet with the silver paint...unfortunatley I'm not going to do anything until March when I get my bonus...The Volkner will definitely be one to look at. I'm still kicking myself for not getting the optional BBS chrome w/ Michelin Pilots; that $1700 extra wouldn't have been much more a month.

I've been checking out all the changes for 2005 mentioned on the G35 forum (freshalloy.com). From pictures posted, a large majority of people there think the interior has some decent, minor changes but unfortunately the new 18" wheels look nowhere near as good as those of the 2003 and 2004 model year. The present G35 wheels are probably close to the best OEM offered wheels out there. Overall, very little changes for the coupe but some more changes for sedan (exterior). Get a 2004 coupe if you can still find one or get your own wheels if getting a 2005 IMO.

I've been a G35 groupie since it first came out, but chose finally not to buy for my previously stated reasons.

Yeah, I also have been over at freshalloy religiously!
I'll probably get a 2005 and just swap out the wheels anyways!

Oh, and on the car... I don't care much for room, I have my current solara for that.

But all-in-all we'll see what the future holds for me and a new ride, just hope my new job takes good care of me.

Welcome. Great choice on the color. I also passed on the G35 for the same reasons, but mainly because I wanted a convertible and the Solara was the only thing I really loved. Enjoy the ride!
