What up SG! I wanted to introduce myself to the group.

I am a new member to SG, however I have been lurking on here for a while ever since I became interested in Solaras (4 months ago). I just found *THE* Solara two weeks ago and decided to finally make a username.

My name is Nick. I am 23 and from Iowa but now live in Minneapolis, MN. I've been in the car scene ever since I got my permit 8 years ago. I have owned a few cars, the most modded one being a cavalier...I know...I know. My plans were to get an M3, but I then decided I was past the speed phase and it was time for just a simple, sleek, comfortable ride. I can't say I have ever rode in a smoother, more quiet coupe than the Solara. I am in love.

*THE* Solara...as mentioned I have been searching for *THE* solara for a few months. I am very picky with cars, as they are a clean slate for me. The beginning of a project  uhh ohh. Through 4 months of looking for a 2004-2006 Black SE Sport Coupe with sunroof and JBL sound I came across a few cars that I would have probably settled for, but then got snatched up by someone just a step ahead of me. Finally I came across *THE* solara. It was located in Toledo, OH. 12 hours from me, here in MN. It was everything I was looking for and the mileage was listed at 14k. HAHA. I thought this was an error on the sellers part. I called, it wasn't an error. So I immediately got in conversation with the seller and asked him probably over 100 questions. This car was MINE. I bought a plane ticket, site unseen, and flew down the following day. I arrived to an IMMACULATE Solara. the car was owned by a 72 year old who passed away. The cars Average MPH gauge that had never been reset since the day it was bought read 21 MPH. I drove it over 11 hours home at over 70mph and it only raised the average MPH to 22. We'll here she is now just pushing 15k miles.

Let me know what you think! More pics available right here

Welcome! Another Sport in the state of OhiO, the more the merrier!

Did YOU remove the emblems on the trunk or was the last elderly owner in the midst of "murdering" it out before he died? No pun intended.
