Hello from New Mexico
I just got a silver 2001 SE V6 Solara with 22,000 (yes, 22,000) miles. It came with 16" rims, JBL sound system, AT, etc.
I immediately went to Discount Tire Company and put on Pirelli P4 tires, which have an amazing traction. I also changed the oil, put in a K&N air filter, bought a cargo net (VERY useful) from Menlove Toyota in Salt Lake City (it was ~$30 shipped), and also bought a Fumoto valve for my next oil change.
So far I am impressed by this car. After owning 2 Saturns, an Altima, an Outback, and an Xterra, this is the first time in my life that I am actually eager to drive. Driving to me was always just to get to some place. Now I love the driving part. The car is very comfy, well laid out, has lots of power, and is very responsive. And then it's quiet and smooth. Simply impressive.
Can you tell yet that I am excited? Well I am.
I am also excited to be a part of this community. The forums have been interesting to read.
