Whats up guys. I heard about this place from Toyota Nation and thought it looked pretty cool. Lots of good info here. 8)

I drive a 1999 Camry LE V6. Its a 5-speed and a lot more fun than I thought a Camry could be. I've surprised quite a few cars with it. Right now its mostly stock aside from removing the intake resonator and cutting a hole in the bottom of the airbox (makes a great sound, cost $0!), and I plan on tinting the windows and putting new wheels and tires on it soon.

Anyway, I joined this site because I'd like to get to know my car better. It has a few issues that I'd like to address, mainly with the windows.

My power windows are all jacked up. The driver's side window works, but it comes out of alignment when I roll it down. I have to push it back in when I roll it back up or it'll leave a gap (lots of wind noise). The passenger side window doesn't work at all. Driver's side in the back works fine, but the motor in the passenger side overheats. I can roll it all the way down, but I have to give it a few minutes before I can roll it back up and vice versa.

I look forward to learning a lot here.

:evilbat: Welcome to SG :evilbat:

There is a vast majority of info on here. A lot more than I thought when I joined. 8)

Sounds like your driver side window is off track. Your prolly gona have to pop the door panles off and put it back on track. The other two sounds like one motor is going out and the other is completly out.

Post up some pics of your Camry when you get some time.

I saw a thread on TN about modding the airbox so I decided to give it a try. After taking the resonator out, a friend and I removed the whole airbox and used a dremel to make a 4x2 inch hole in the bottom, so the intake draws in air from both the wheel well and the engine bay. Now when I gun it, the sound from the intake echoes in the engine bay loudly and its VERY audible from outside. But it only does it when I really push the pedal down, otherwise its dead quiet. Makes passing people twice as fun lol.

How do I put it back on track? I really have no idea what to look for. It would be great if thats all it is.

I'd post pics but I don't really have any good ones. I'll see what I can dig up.

What do you have and how do you like it? I was thinking of just getting a K&N filter and leaving it at that, but I really like the sound an aftermarket intake makes.

04 gen2 solara with injen intake, etc. I like it, works perfectly for my car. Great sound and pulls harder on higher rpm.

Best bet is CPE, but if you dont have the funds then just go with injen as solaraboy shows.

But instead of cutting that hole y didnt u just unhook the top of the air box and leave it at that?
