Hello Everyone,

My name is Christian I just joined this group. I own a 2002 Solara 4 cyl Coupe.

I have a question: I carry some weights since I am a personal trainer and I wanted to know if I can get air shocks installed. I know this is a unibody will this be okay to do?

Airshocks

What options like airshocks, spring helpers or stiffeners that will be able to raise the rear?

I want to be able to raise the rear a bit since I will be carrying about 300 to 500 lbs of weights in the trunk.

I wish I knew anything about air shocks, but welcome. 500 pounds? That's gonna do wonders for your fuel economy! LOL

I think those are the ones that are height adjustable?

No, I mean, the weight of the training weights in the trunk will cause a decreased fuel economy, no matter what type of shocks you have.

Although I have a Gen 2 and don't know the difference in weight max specifications for a Gen 1, I would highly suggest putting them in the back seat foot well or maybe possibly in the front passenger rear foot well but NOT in the trunk. I once had only 300-lbs of stuff only in the trunk and I swore it seemed lower than having 4 people in the passenger compartment.

True...the problem might be fitting all those weights there. I'd imagine they probably a lot more difficult to access.
