Just purchased a 2007 Solara SLE Convertible in Red w/Ivory Leather interior and found the site while looking for information about hooking up Sirius to the 'sat-ready' stereo.

Any advice on that front welcome, the parts guy at the Toyota dealer said the radio was a Panasonic (even though it sez JBL) and so I ordered a SIR-PAN1 from Crutchfield (but they said it might not work, it isn't on the compatible list - but I have a 30 day return window and it was only $50 so thought I'd try it!)

Worst case I guess I'll get the old Sportster put in somewhere, maybe under the climate controls in that area by the MP3 player / power attachment...

On the personal front, married, 3 kids (all girls) and this is my first convertible and first Toyota (though the wife did own a Lexus RX300 awhile back).

Anyway, that's me, looking forward to years of fun with the Solara, the kids love the convertible aspect for sure :)

You'll be disapointed with the display on the OEM HU anyway, just use your sportster...The text is cut off and doesn't scroll.
