OFFICIALLY A NEW SOLARA OWNER!!

Postby Sin-R V6 » Wed Apr 25, 2007 4:28 pm

Welp today I finally took time off work to go take a look to find a car to buy. Finally found one, agreed to the price and got it at a killer deal. I'm a new owner of a...

2004 Solara SE Sport in Satin Silver
Clean title with 20K on the odo

Price agreed...$14,200 at a DEALERSHIP. Took my cousin who is a Certified Toyota Mechanic to take the car in, ran the VIN, ran a FULL diag. and it came out perfect.

I was just wondering if the Factory warranty is still in effect if anything happens to the car. Does it automatically transfer until 36K or is it over already since it's 2007?

But either way, i'm happy to now finally going to be a FULL member of this forum.

36 months may be up but the power train and exhaust will still be covered. And that's Lunar Mist Metallic, right?

Warranty

Postby JMSinMaryland » Wed Apr 25, 2007 4:49 pm

Warranty expires 3/36 on date of first use. My 1999 wasn't sold until May of 2000, therefore my warranty expired May 2003. I need to remember to keep my eye on the 8yr/unlimited sludge warranty, take that in for a complete rebuild courtesy of Toyota

thanks you guys for the welcome. I'm kinda dumbfound when it comes to Solaras.

I see that my car is gonna have a Front Strut Bar. Do I need to upgrade the Rear Sway? How about the Front Sway??

And yes my car is Lunar Mist Metallic

I got too many ideas right now for this car. TRD Kit (need to research as to where i can find a kit), Retro real HIDs, SS-P with EDFC, LED tails, Upgrade intake and exhaust, and finally some 20" rims.

The only kit available for our cars is the factory sports package ground effects kit and the ebay EVO kit. No TRD...although if they had one that would be very nice
