Hey guys, how ya doin? Im new to the site, just thought id try it out, see if i get a response, see how active the site is and what not. The whole idea of solara tuning is new to me and i hope to learn as much as possible. I had a bmw e36 (1995 325i-moderately modified) that was, unfortunately totaled back in janurary of this year (some geaser in a Suburban tore me a new one) and I came to acquire my new ride. I'm pretty fond of it, but after driving a german for sometime, i would certainly like to at least upgrade the handling a little with trd lowering springs, perhaps the looks if i can get my hands on a TRD lip kit that everyone seems to be fighting for haha but anyways, if you have any suggestions let me know

currently i installed some various audio equip.
2 JL W-2's in a rockford bandpass 4 port box
with a 2 channel 2000 watt Lanzar audio amp (good quality amp, cheap too) :)
to compliment the JBL stock system - i wont lie, it sounds pretty sick

you sir, have just made my entire month better. now, a few more questions, thoughts or opinions on the following
for springs, if i were to go with the trd, is it necessary to replace the stock struts and shocks - or are they still compatable without damage?
also - which CAI would you guys rec. for the solara, AEM, Injen or something else? I know I had an AEM on my e36, but im still not used to the whole v6 vs. I6 concept haha, dont know what performs better on this car

Welcome to SG!

You can use the OEM struts with the TRD springs, but it would be better for you to buy some aftermarket performance struts (TRD, KYB, Eibach)... since you say you want your car to handle better... then again if you want true handling upgrades go for coil overs, and an RSB... these two things will make your car a canyon carver! :D

I have Teins, and seriously they are not that stiff... I mean they are stiffer than the stock suspension (obviously), but they are not uncomfortable... personally I think they are the sweet spot between performance and comfort...
