:fadein:

Well it came in today!

Red with camel top and Ivory interior, all options are on this one.
The Navigation system is really neat, recalculates routing quickly and the touch screen is easy to use.

The ground effects package looks good along with the racing pedals.

We will take our first road trip this weekend.

If anyone can assist in posting photos I can email them to you.

Happy days are here again!

Welcome. Looking forward to pics as I have never seen the ragtop with the ground fx package. I'm assuming from the options that you got an SLE w/ that as an option?

Congrats on your new ride!

Sign up on CarDomain.com and post your pics there!

I had originally ordered a black-on-black SLE with all those options - fully loaded SLE w/nav and GE package, etc... but when they said it was going to be over $37K I crapped my pants! That's when I got the SLE that I did for under $30K and couldn't be happier with my decision... though I'd still love the Nav unit with all the traveling I do! ;)

Jim looks more like a Susan. btw what's the deal with all the houses in AZ looking the same? zoning restrictions or HOA's?

You caught me, it is Susan's 25th Anniversary gift.

In general, HOA rules force a subdivision to be similar. The neighborhoods tend to look more similar since they are typically built by a single builder. When you move to full custom homes again the HOA tends to drive the look.

Price ranges also tend to drive how the homes look, more because the builder of less expensive homes builds a full subdivision or neighborhood. Also the floorplans and exteriors get copied from builder to builder over time.

Congrats on the new Solara. Looks great!

I like the body kit look as well. Is that available as an accessory through any of the dealers? I've never seen it. I have seen a 'Ground Effects Hardware Kit' for sub-$50, but that sounds like the brackets and bolts, etc.

My understanding is the Ground Effects kit is only available from the 'factory'. Our dealers said it cannot be ordered as an accessory.

I think the 'factory' job looks good and sets off the car without being over the top as some kits are.
