My name is Griffin, I am 29yrs old Married w/ two kids, From Southern California San Diego County. I have a Black 99 V6 5spd TRD S/C, K&N drop in, Greddy Evo1 stainless catback, and Magnacore wires, lowered on TRD springs+ a TRD body kit. As well as a pretty nice stereo system. I have Carbon Taillights and I am purchasing the black Jdm look headlights&corners this weekend from someone on this site. I have 17's right now, but I will have 18's for sure this coming weekend, maybe 19's if I get brave. :evilbat: I just wanted to Introduce myself, and I was wondering the best way to achieve 320-340hp to the flywheel. Could I get some info please. It would be appreciated!

Thanks
Griff

welcome. u have quite a mod list to begin with. as for the 320hp u should tlk to joeB and some other solara members that are pushing that to the wheels. right now i think u should proly trade that K&N filter for a full CAI and that would improve response and a decent hp gain.

yes indeed, check out the tutorial section and that will certainly help you a lot. There is so much you can do, it's a matter of asking do you have what it takes? ($$$).

I think some of these guys have spent at least $6K in engine rebuild (the whole process involved and the gauges, etc), which is a must if you want to get the numbers desired. Of course I could be wrong but yeah, I'd check with JoeB, Craig, Shidosha, etc... they are not hard to find.

welcome :D

You'll definately eat that up building the internals. I haven't built up my internals. But, based on what I have (click on my pic below) and what others had and dynoed, I am hoping to be in the 270-280 hp to the wheels. I think that should be in the 300 crank hp. I'm going to dyno as soon as I get my oil leak fixed. I think I could get higher if I get headers and a full 3" exhaust. Anyways, good luck! I hope to see another Solara hit 300+ crank hp. 8)

Are the mods astro has safe for stock internals??? My car has 76000 miles right now, runs perfect but what if I go the route Astro did?

Astro and I have a similar set up (he only has a few more things), i just havent had the chance to dyno it but so far it's been safe for stock. However, if you want to go above that, i highly recommend you talk to the other guys.

theoretically, those kind of numbers should require internals just to be safe, mainly pistons & rods... i think oem could suffice, but thats risky business

up the boost
up the fuel
tune with good electronics
= you got your horsepower
