Hello, Just bought a 2005 Solara SLE convertible in Artic Frost. Would like to add navagation to it but not sure if I should go to the dealer or another source for a better unit. Also want it to match silver face plate. Is this possible. Also do they make a bra for this car and a billet grille.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Welcome to Solara Guy and congrats on the new ryde.

If your looking for a stock navi for your Solara somebody was selling on in the "For Sale" section of the Gen 2's, others have gone with aftermarkets and I only know of one member with the matching silver face plate to accomidate the dash panal.

There are Billet grills out for your car, just gotta search for them. However Mike T. also makes the mesh grills for the upper and lower parts of the front for less (you can find his grills on the Gen. 2 section of this forum).

I dunno about a car bra for the Gen. 2 but I'm sure others can help you find one if they do have it.

I seen and used the units in Lexus vehicles. Personally, I prefer the stand-alone units (I have a Roadmate 500). It allows you access the touch screen while moving, can be used in another vehicle (great for rental car usage on vacation), lists at least as many local attractions, and it's far less expensive to boot.

My 2¢. Your Mileage may vary. Offer void where prohibited.

I have a Mike T grille on the lower but am also considering moving to something like this: http://www.american-truck-auto.com/bill ... 7200.shtml
