Welcome to the forum. What are the specs on the car, do tell. Keep an eye on the clutch too since your learning.

Congrats!!

Nice buy - had mine for 2 months and it's the best car I've had yet (albeit it's only my third, but a Toyota which I can actually do self maintenance on is a welcome thing after a Caddy and a Saab ><). Have fun dude :).

its V6 SE 99' I was really really determined when looking for the solara that it would NOT BE A I4. (nothing aganist I4, but I wanted something w/ more power after driving around my volvo 740, not a turbo either)

here's my story
found this car on craigslist listed for $6500, mileage was 136k (yea, i know, damn!) when I went to meet the guy, had planned having my dad come with me but he couldnt make it so I asked my uncle instead. Coincidently the guy's wife was a friend of my uncle's so she bump the price down to $5000. car used to be leased so it was always serviced at the dealer and the condition was most excellent. brand new tires and smog check came with the car. car's white and has the rear lip spoiler. so i dont know about you, but i think i got a pretty good deal.

anyways, its too dark to take pictures so i'll post pics soon.

Yoroshiku ^^!

Heh, that's what I'm missing, classes... starting college next year, my highschool taught spanish or german only, of which I took neither. Ugh... taking it in College with only self-taught knowledge only is gunna be awful; I'm majoring in international business (ie Japan) so I have to take it in college, or get a private tutor ><.

So de yo, anime to jpop/rock wa daisuki!! Hahaha... it's an expensive habit (especially to import the cd's)... helps the assimilation of the language though, I understand new phrases every week.

Ja... mata ne yo!! See you around the forums! Enjoy the Solara (it's my first Japanese car and I'm already over-ricing mine out ;).
