Hello all.....

This is my first day in the Solaraguy.com forum. I purchased an '04 Solara Sport Coupe on Monday, leaving behind my 2000 Maxima and maxima.org.

I'm looking forward to trading some good info.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Posh, I opted for the 4cyl and it's just fine with me. As for color choice, I'm sportin' Artic Frost. Feel free to ck it out: http://www.cardomain.com/id/jbeusc96

dj- are there many of us around the Atl area?

yep. not near as many as CA though. It's all good though. GA's not near as picky when it comes to upgrading(in some peoples cases, downgrading) vehicles.

Welcome, my only thing is why the 4? You should have gone for the 6...

The 4 doesn't bother me. Still has enough pick-up to get me in trouble. There are things in a car that I have to have...and a 6 isn't one of them. I'm happy with her the way she is. :D

Welcome!! I am too located in the GA and we just recently had our ATL meet a couple of weeks ago, maybe u can come to our next one in a couple of months. There are only about 5-6 Solara enthusiasts in the area (and another 5-6 Camry guys) but I'm confident that there are more to come. So u were with the Maxima crew? do you know any of the SELOC guys? I sometimes hang out with the SELOC guys and I know the Maxima guys would sometimes hang out with us so maybe i already know u. Anyway, welcome and hope to see you around more often... laterzz!!

Welcome & congrats on the new ride. Like Rene said there aren't that many of us in the Atlanta area that participate. One of the things I'd like to do this winter is to make a home page for the Atlanta Solara folks on my Comcast pages. Maybe we could use a Gmail account or something and have a few of us monitor it; I set up atlsolaraclub@comcast.net and we could use it too. I'd like to print up some little business cards that we could put on the Solara's we see around town...there are plenty of them in the Dunwoody/Sandy Springs area...I'm sure most folks are too busy to participate, but we may pick up a few good people that way.

I seem to be detailing the cars of everyone that does participate, LOL. I'm going to get with Hari on Sunday and Randomman84 in a few weeks to detail their rides...maybe we can turn Saturday, December 11th, into a detail day for the Atlanta folks. I'll invite a fellow detailing enthusiast that has an ES330.

Are you kidding??? Have you not driven the 6,... That would be the only reason to get the Gen 2, but either way... Enjoy!!!!

Believe it or not, but the 4 is no slouch. I test drove it also and it was pretty darn good but I wanted all the bells and whistles and all options this time around.
