first time owner and new member with two questions

hi everyone, i've been reading this forum for a while ever since i got my new and first ever solara. after shopping around i decided on the 2004 SE v6 Sport hahaha and so far i have enjoyed it thoroughly :n00b:

though i have always been interested in auto projects and understanding the maintenence and modifying cars, i don't have much experience or knowledge. so with this new purchase i have decided to spend time learning what i can about my car as well as projects that i can begin with it.

well the questions i had is that my car came with the all season wheels and while on the tire states that the tire pressure is to be at 44 PSI, the car recommends it at 32. does anyone have any idea which is the preferred PSI or the difference each PSI would affect int he steering and handling of the car?

the second question i have is that since this is my first car that i have ever purchased, i am quiet protective of it.. i've been looking at the warrenty plans they offer and though i know it is a very broad question, i'd mainly like to know how well are their warrenties, would they be worth it, and if they are handy to have. one for example is the 7 year 100k mile warrenty priced at $1500.

if anyone has any answers or even suggestions i'd greatly appreciate hearing back. thanks.

I got the Toyota 7 yr, 75000 warranty for several hundred less than your quote when I bought my car and think it is great since it covers everything in the car. I can get all of my money back during the first three years. If I quit after that, I get the remaining percentage of money back.
