i'm a tampa boy. i got my solara back in january (traded in my 96 camry) so far i've only played with the audio... new infiniti 6x9s all around and pair of alpine 12s in the trunk... i'm having my alpine deck put in sometime soon but its going to be atleast $150 to do it around here, and i think i'm going to go all out with the custom install and put my mtx tweeters in it. i've been tight for cash lately but i've been saving up for the trd front strut bar and the springs... but now i need to save even more to put the rear sway bar in.

one of my main issues that i got with the gen2 that i havent seen anything said about is the spoiler... i'm not much of a fan of the lip spoilers (and yes i got one...) and by the way that little thing is bolted on so theres nice wholes in the trunklid if you want to take it off. its hard to find an aftermarket that with look right on the car... that huge curve in the rear takes out about 80% of all the spoilers out there... and the ones i'm left with are just too bulky in my opinion..... so has anyone seen a nice aftermarket spoiler for the 04???

(my other issues is the same as most of urs... the intake and deck converters and those retarded 3'' speakers in the dash WHY NOT 3.5'' :x ?!?)

I would like to see that stereo install to see how they did it. Our dash is integrated where everything seems to be one piece. Also, what spoiler have you looked at? I haven't seen or heard anything regarding a spoiler. I'm usually a spoiler guy myself, but this car can get away with the lip IMO.

any true custom audio shop can do it... its just basicly removing the stock radio and putting in a custom made piece that will hold a regualar deck and fill in the stock area and hold in place on the stock attacment places. sound advice/tweeter stores will do it for a nice wad of cash. i heard that the target date for a dash kit to be made is in the winter and its going to be $100... so might as well spend another hundred and do something more custom.

oh and about the spoilers... i've just been looking online at all the wing shops... and i have found only a couple that have a nice curve to match the solaras back end, but they were too ugly and bulk to even begin thinking about putting it on my beauty. and i'm not talking about the metal ones... just painted ones, no offence to those that like titanium and carbon fiber (but a little to those with alliuminum 35$ ones  ) i just wouldnt do it too my car unless i wanted to look like i wanted racing fine (tampa cops love giving street racing tickets) :D lol.

Yeah, those lip spoilers are boring. I had to replace mine on the '00, I would love to shorten the height. Man, I would love to see the '04 with a different spoiler.
