Dear Friends,

My 2004 Solara SLE convertible, tan on black, 83k miles, has been traded in for a Ford Fusion Hybrid. I just couldn't see spending money on the 90k and 100k service when that money could be put towards a car payment on something newer. If you're interested in the car, it was traded in in Rochester, MN. It's a great car and I have all the maintenance records. So if you buy it, tell me the VIN number and the records are yours!

Good luck to everyone here, this has been a terrific website for me and my 'lara!

Nice "farewell", Mike! No need to leave, however. Of course, for some of us we go way beyond the commonality of the car and frolic in a fellowship of community in here that serves as treatment for some of life's "other" facets, in the form of selective therapy!

...what?

Anyway... best of luck with your Ford. I think many of us would be interested in your experience with it and even some feedback and comparison to the 'lara, albeit very different cars!

Someone is forgetting the timing belt, water pump, and pulley tensioner replacement at 90k miles. That's a $500 - $700 service which is 2-3 car payments.
