Goodbye NYC!, Hello Las Vegas!
Well, its sad to think about it... but, I'm leaving my hometown.
All the bumps, cracks, potholes, the constant construction on many of the highways....
The insane Nor-Easters, managing not to torque steer in the snow...
Alternate side parking.... waking up mad early to avoid a parking ticket, only to spend hours looking for a new spot on the block...
It ends.
Hot weather, desert dry heat actually....
smooth roads, crazy tourists.... more Casinos, and Neon than a 2110 Space oddyssey...
More 24 hours a day businesses that http://www.whateva.com...
You may ask... why?, how?
The answer is simple.
I got laid off, and could not find a job in NYC to save my life... Chance came, knocked on my door, and an opportunity I could not overlook came into play....
Needless to say, more pay, cool benefits, and a lower cost of living all played a big part in my decision.
To my fellow NY Solaraguys, I bid thee adieu, the time has come where I must depart, and although still connected, it will be harder for us to catch up.
Many thanks to all of you, who throughout the years, have helped me turn my Solara, into a mean, fuel efficient corner beating machine. It will undoubtedly catch some attention in the City of Sin...
But, deep inside, with all the memories, and work done..... it remains a New Yorker..
My thanks to this community, I will continue to be a part of it out there (I'm keeping that car til the day it dies!).
Shoot.... LA is only 4-5hrs away!...
See you guys on Pacific time soon!
