hiya
first time in the forum. i just ordered a artic pearl solara!!!
i still have a couple questions that i hope ppl here can answer for me
first of all, my car is gonna be for primiraly picking up gorceries, driving to school and back etc, so is a 4-banger enough? or is it just ALOT weaker than the 6 even in normal driving condiiton? the dealer told me i won't notice much unlessi really push it, i don't quite belive him since he doens't know a lot of things (he can't tell the difference b/w a mink and a artic pearl, and he doens't know what color interior i would be gettign with a artic pearl) Oh, and how long does it takes for the 4 cyl to reach 0~60? i know it's 6.9 for the v6, but i can't find the figures for a 4.
the dealer also said i would have to wait one month to get the car. hwo long did you guys have to wait?

If it's just for daily commuting a 4-banger will do, but the price difference between the 4 and the 6 is not greatly significant. So, possibly it could be less than a hundred dollars difference in monthly payments.

And with regards to supply, it all depends on where you're at. I had to search around at least 5 different local Internet fleet managers before I encountered the specific model and the options I wanted. Took about 2 weeks of researching and contacts before I got my '04.

I think the 4 banger takes about 9 seconds to get to 60. I test drove the 4 banger and it was fine for city driving. When you pushed it though, you could feel a difference. The six cylinder has smoother power delivery.

yeah i know, but i do have enough cash to pay everything at once, so i ma trying to stay away from monthly for the hedious intrest rate on the toyota.
btw i'm in canada, the price diff b/w a SE 4 and a SE 6's is like $4000CDN or so, and we CANNOT have SLE trim on a 4. which sucks big time, the dealer say he can give me the leather seat form the parts department for free, but other gadgets like auto climate control and such he can't do it since it "comes with car".
