Hello

Hello out there to all Solara owners!

I have a 2002 Solara 4 cyl. My car has been overheating so I changed my thermomstat. Car was fine for 4 days, then it overheated again but when back down to normal temp after I shut a/c off, also realized that there was excess coolant in the resevoir tank. What can be done to check or what should be done to check for problems? Thanks

WELCOME!

This is THE place for your issues with these cars...

I would suggest a SEPARATE (non-introduction) thread be started with your thread topic "OVERHEATING... help!" or some such title. You will get better attention and assistance!

BTW, A/C "ON" -vs- "OFF" making a change makes me wonder if the A/C compressor is bad... but I don't know if that alone would cause the overheating...

...there is always the concern of BLOWN head gasket... (which sucks!) but I'm not familiar with that being a big issue with these cars...

Anyway... I suggest the fresh thread for your issue!
