Just got a Solara!
Hey all:
I recently purchased a (slightly) used 2007 Solara SLE convertible with 14,000 miles. I hadn't ever really considered the Solara prior to the 2007 refresh; but something about the updated taillights and fog lights really made me grow to love the Solara's cheeky-yet-luxurious styling. The badonkadonk butt of the Solara seems less in-your-face with the reverse lights in the bumper...
It is Titanium Metallic, with the black top and gray leather interior. I can't say enough about how underrated this car is! It's terrific value for the money, and I believe I got literally every possible option save for the nav system and the HID headlamps. It was a nice surprise to find my car equipped with VSC and TRAC. Something I wasn't originally looking for, but lets me drive with a little more confidence.
Love the Solara so far (I've had it for less than a week), but it's got some big shoes to fill. It replaced my beloved 2001 Toyota Rav4 L 4WD, which I owned for six years without a single problem and was 200% satisfied with. If I hadn't gotten such a great deal for it as a trade in, I wouldn't be on these forums here today (and would instead be blogging at www.Rav4world.com
)
If you all any have tips or good "heads-ups" for my Solara and ownership experience - please let me know! Thanks!
