I was very sad......the dealership that had the only 2002 SLE in so cal wouldn't give me the price I wanted.....oh wells. IT's ok. I got the SE instead. Brand New....pearl white, whatever it's called. I'm gonna name it pretty soon, haven't figured it out yet. Need to ride and break it in first. Yeah...i'm like that. It's a 4 cylinder......WhAT CAN I DO with a 4 CYLINDER? I was hoping I can beat an IS300 L-tuned one day. But that suckers got 250hp. Help!!!!!

Oh yeah....one question. I heard breakin period is 3000 miles. Am I suppose to keep the car under 3 or 4 rpms?

Thanks for READING!

3 rpms. and try not to go over 60 mph. break-in period is usually 1000, any more couldn't hurt if you're planning on babying your ride.

oh btw...

welcome to the boards! :D

the L-tuned IS has 223hp (the exhaust is supposed to 8 to the 215)
with your I4 you'll have to aim for something a little slower!
are you drivin standard?

oh, and welcome!

Sorry for writing down the inaccurate horsepower, what I meant to say my cousin's is has around 250(rounded up i bet). With the intake or something...i dunno, that's what he said....and why not aim for that? If i can ever get my standard automatic 4 cindys to beat him, I'll be one happy man wouldn't you say?

Thing..is...how will I ever reach that stage....

for now.....what can I do......Dust Civics?

*Sigh*,

I've been reading a lot of posts that you guys have been making over the past two months. I first thank you all for sharing such a great interest in your Solara. When I was only 14, I saw a TRD Solara driving down 405 from LAX. I was hooked. Solaras and Supras has always been my passion since that day (Supra is another story). Finally, now that i'm nearly 20, I'm thankful that my parents were kind enough to get me a great car. It's just not a V6. When I got the car, I had high expectations, thinking that I might be able to beat the 200 hp barrier one day with my own money.

Now, after reading up on some supercharger updates......200 might be really far off. I probably sound like a wimp, but yeah, I've pretty much lost a lot of hope. And of course none of this is any of you guy'z faults. I'm actually quite happy that some of you are sharing the great news on the upcoming supercharger for the old I4's. Hope those who get it will be HAPPY!

But i wont go jump off a cliff or anything like that. I still love my Solara. And one day, if I have enough money and when the warranty is gone, I'll try to get my 03 I4 up to a whole new level. I'll FIGURE SOMETHING OUT.....ok?? .....just dont know what yet......

So i can Try to make you guys proud.

If you guys hear anything about 02-03's......Make sure the forum knows!! Haha, there's not a lot of 03 drivers out there, but there sure is one that would appreciate it knowing such a detail. So, Once again....THANKS GUYS for taking the time to read. This Is a GREAT FORUM!!! AND HAvE A NICE WEEKEND...................(to those who read it before the weekend)......

trust me, being an owner of a 02 i4, i'll let you know if I find anything that will have a serious gain (not just paper gains like an exhaust lol)
(just for your info, 2az-fe is the engine code for the 02-03 inline 4)

Yes, you can smoke civics with 4 people in the car :D
