3 More Weeks - 2006 SLE Convertible

Postby KeithH » Thu Aug 25, 2005 2:40 pm

So close. The best estimate they could give me is sometime between last Tuesday and this Monday. I don't know if I can take much more of this! :)

Of course being the uber-nerd that I am I want to take pictures of it as the train pulls into Portland.

I can only wonder how many miles will be on the odometer when I get it. I drove one that had just 8 on it when I took it out - and 12 when I brought it back.

I came to my senses. I realize I had a bad weekend last week and may have said some things I now regret.

The Supra will remain in my posession and I will continue with that project. There are so many hot rods out there... but how many Supras like what I want to do? :)

Fa sho. . . I love those MK3. . . I was planning on getting one but I rather get the Solara faster because I love the feeling of being unique and when people ask me "What car is that? It's HELLA clean." haha I love that feeling

ACK!

Well... today was the 29th - they originally told me anytime between the 23rd and the 29th - and guess what? NO SOLARA!

Now they are saying between the 1st and the 8th.

I'm sorry but FedEx can track an envelope down to the block these days. How hard is it to track a freakin' car?

"Dude, Where's my car?"

Did they give the car a map and say "Find your own way."? I guess I should have gotten the NAV system. It might have been here already. :)

I'm really not a patient person sometimes. :)

WOOHOO! I just got word that the status on my Solara has changed to "GROUND". I was told that means it is physically on the ground here in Portland and just has to head on over to the dealer for me to pick it up.

Watch out world, here comes Keith!

If you're in the Portland Oregon area be on the lookout for a Lunar Mist Metallic 2006 Solara SLE Convertible driven by a tall doofy looking guy wearing loud obnoxious Hawaiian or bowling shirts.

Wow... you got yourself a wife, son? or some children? 'Cuz I think you might want to give a little energy and thought to them, in case they need to be, like, fed or watered.
