First thing. You wont be finding a supercharger since its been discontinued for awhile now. Difference in years are 99-01 are generation 1s...02 to 03 are generation 1.5...and 04 to current are generations 2... gen 2 have 225 hp while gen 1 and 1.5 only have 200.

Basically the front bumper, headlights, corner lights, fog lights, and rear taillights. You should definately look for a V6, you won't regret it. If possible find a manual, although they only came in the gen1 ('99-'01). You can find a s/c, they pop up from time to time (here or on Ebay). But, you can always call companies and see if they still have it in stock. The only problem is you'll still pay an arm and a leg. All I can say is that it's definately worth it, because I can smoke V6 gen2's all day long. 8)

I'll add that the grille is different on the Gen1.5 (it was omitted from the previous list, though I'm sure everyone knows it's different).

Yep, no 5-speed for the 03 model year. I'm not sure why they did that. 99-02 all had the option.

You should be able to S/C any of the Gen1-1.5 V6's.

I'd go for an 02 SE 5-speed and change out the tail lights for a pair from a Gen1. IMO, the Gen1.5 stockers are UGLY. After that: tein's, tokico's, 18's, TRD body kit and RSB, S/C with 8psi pulley, Jim's fuel upgrade kit, Injen intake, JP headers/full exhaust, and a LSD :D

With the 99-03 there is definitely more room for "self expression" with the mods you can make to these years. TRD body kits, after- market tail-lights, SC, etc. The 04's and up come with the body-kit stock if you want the SE V6 Sport which I recommend since it has VVT-I and 225 hp. Either way you go I'm sure you'll be happy with your Solara. Good luck.
