New here - Hello!

Postby 2000silverstreak » Mon Dec 13, 2004 12:12 am

I just picked up a 2000 Solara SLE V6 from a Ford Dealer that sponsors my Mustang race car. It has 20,000 miles and was a trade in on a 2005 Mustang. Since they sponsor my race car I got a really great deal IMO - $8200 + tax, registration and plates. FYI - they were had it on their lot for $11,995.

The Solara ride is so refined and quiet - the gas mileage is great too!

So I'm the latest newbie! Looking forward to posting more here!

Here's some pics

Congrats on your purchase and glad to hear that you're enjoying your Solara already. Pics look good. Any future mods/upgrades?

I already ordered a wood dash kit from Ebay and got it for only $49 + shipping total about $67.00 - I thought that was a great deal.

I will probably get a TRD Body kit that's why I was asking questions on a thread you posted in the for sale forum. Do you still have them? I am guessing they are much better than the fiberglass kits on Ebay, although those seem to be so much less expensive.

Wheels and tires probably after te winter as I live in NJ and it sucks here in the winter.

I love the ride of the Solara, it reminds me of a Q45 I owned back in 94'. Very smooth ride. I am hoping I don't lose too much ride quality when I change over to 17's.
