It's really light... the sub is a 8 or 10 incher (I think 8 thought) and it's 2 sets of components (front and rear)

I don't think they sell the setup for use in vehicles except for Lexus... I can get the parts from work... but for the price, you'd be better off with other high end stuff (Diamond, Eclipse, Focal) that would cost almost the same. *note* if you get focal utopias, sell those damn tweeters and get a different tweeter set... those things hurt your ears x_X

Very nice choice on looking at the mark levinson system. Its going to cost an arm and a leg though and might not even be available like xravexboix said. Some of their home theather systems cost over 100k.

P.S. Don't buy a sound system based on weight, buy it based on sound.

Just remember, he chose to put them in Lexus vehicles because Lexus vehicles reduce the amount of road noise to virtually nothing. ;-)

You can buy NAKAMICHI components... but I don't think they are that crazy... they are decent at best

If you want some high end car audio speakers look at rainbow, arc audio, dyn audio, focal, cdt. That should be enough to get you started, and mark levinson cant touch the higher end of any of those brands.

If you want a good SQ sub to go along w/ it you could try Image Dyanamics IDMAX, JL audio W7, Phoenix gold Titanium Elite (only 12" i believe), Adire Audio Brahma, Resonant Engineering XXX, any one of those should do you just fine.
Nascar would be a sport if half the cars were driving the other direction.

My Mom has the Mark Levinson system in her ES300 . . . but I really don't think it is anything special. For the few grand that my Dad spent on it from Lexus, I could have bought an ever sweeter set up and for much cheaper. I'd say that money wise, it'll be better to build your own set-up from other good brand parts. Serious. You could have crisp highs, mids, lows (loud ass bass) and probably even a whole entertainment system (video) for the same cost as the Levinson system. But then again, it's all in one's taste.

I'd say for BASS = Digital Designs, HIGHS & MIDS = Directed Audio, AMPS = Directed Audio or Viper, VIDEO = Clarion, Pioneer, Sony, Kenwood. Perfect . . . 8)
