I'd rather be putting more money into the performance/exterior of the car, however I can probably find one for around 1.2k or 1.3k... so it was a good deal for me, that and I'd really like a system that can handle nav as well as mp3 so I don't have to use a passenger seat laptop for navigation ^_^ (it was viable when I was driving auto but now not as much... :D )

any real benefit in going for a separate systems? y'know audio, a screen, dvd, navigation?
and does anyone know if the map it runs by is really old? some review on some random retailer said it was but seeing as how it's just released in 2k4 I'd really hope not...
Also I've been reading that you can't really watch dvd's while the car is driving at least in the front... and since I don't really want to install a rear system for it I was wondering if anyone could confirm it/tell me if anyone's been able to hack the protection, I'm assuming the only way the system would know is if it was wired into something would it be as easy as not wiring it? (only issue is I don't know if it'd interfere with the visual gauges that it boasts)

hmm... interesting, looks like it doesn't exactly match up to the stats of the AVIC-N1 but the complete indashness is nice... is it even out yet? didn't see a price listed or anything

retail is 2500

PM me. I can get you a good price w/ the full warranty. eBay sales nullifies the warranty and the ESN protection =P Proceed w/ ebay at your own risk.

$1200 is a great deal.

I have the older system (NAV-SYS900DVD) and absolutely love it.

Go for it. Worth every penny, especially at that price.

Anyone have any idea how hard this thing is to install by yourself? all I know is that it has a separate reciever, and it's gotta hook into your brakes (I think to see if you're breaking), Rear Lights (to see if you're going forward or backward) and your speed. I want to see how hard it is to install it by myself or if I should pay, if it's difficult I'd still take a wack at it, just as long as it's not impossible ^_^
