This is the system I bought a few months ago: http://www.circuitcity.com/detail.jsp?c=1&b=g&u=c&catoid=-8871&qp=0315431551695&oid=83463&m=0

It sounds really good, but I want a pair of alpine type r's to really rock the neighborhood (litterally). However, since I already have an amp, will this amp be sufficent enough to run the type r's? If not, can you recommend me an amp?

Thanks guys

You should consider either buying a new box or making one of your own, if you want loud you can't beat ported. Have you bought the Type Rs yet? They make them in Dual 2 and Dual 4 ohm, if you haven't bought them yet I would recommend getting the Dual 4s and wiring them to 1 ohm on a BX1000D.
Nascar would be a sport if half the cars were driving the other direction.
