Class D vs. Mono Block

Just wondering if anyone knows, what is the difference between a Class D amp and a mono-block high current amp? and which one is better for providing more power?
Nascar would be a sport if half the cars were driving the other direction.

uh...they usually refer to mono amps, as amps for subwoofer use and they classify it as a class D...so the terms kind of go hand in hand...i need to get a class D amp for my subs, running it of a 2 channel just isn't cutting it...

a monoblock is a 1 channel amp hence the term "mono"...they can be any class

a class d amp is just that: a class d amp. most of the time they are single channel
