Gen 1 Convertible rear interior panels

I don't know if this is the right place for this question/observation,but if you took the rear interior panels out off a convertible and put them in a coupe then you could possibly have a third pair of interior speakers for a great interior sound if you are trying to build a great stereo. In a convertible there is no rear deck so the rear speakers grills are built into the rear side panels. What do you think???

Moved to Gen 1 audio.

Give it some time before the bump. No reply may mean that you're the first to ask such a question.

Not having studied this, I'd say you should look at the panel where it meets the rear window or "C" pillar. Usually it's different from the coupe.

Good luck with your investigation.

No, it's completely different (you might have some luck with retrofitting but that's $$$). For the coupe, you have arm handles for the rear quarter panels and 60/40 folding rear seats that seats 5 passengers, whereas the convertible doesn't have handles, 1-piece (non fold down?) seats and seating for 4 [safely with seat belts].
