So... closest I've ever come to deadening anything were the chickens that we use to raise:lol:, anywho any tips on how to do it to the front doors would be appreciated, as I'm going to be putting some new components in soon. Also, where would be a good mounting spot for the crossovers?

btw this is my system as it stands:
pioneer dvh-p5000mp
stock front jbl's
kenwood ka-7201
12" image dynamics d2 subwoofer in a sealed box

I'm also going to get an amp to power the new components, any reccs? And as for components, not sure how much I wanted to spend, as cheap as possible lol but if its not going to be much better than stock even with an amp to power, I'd rather spend a little more. Here's a list of a few that seemed interesting, any ones I should avoid? Recommend? Or are these all sorta meh and I should move into the higher price bracket?

alpine type s ~113
diamond m361 ~160
clarion srs1623 ~100
phoenix gold zr or tx ~89-109
infinity 6010cs ~129
kicker k6.2 or k65.2 ~129-149
jl tr650csi ~ 125
mb quart dse or rce or dsf ~114-149
pioneer rev's ~175
fosgate p162 or fnx2614 ~139-179

Thx.

I deadened my doors last week, it wasn't too bad but it does take time and lots of Dynamat. As far as mounting crossovers I'm going to put mine in the door, they say not to because they can get wet and the door vibrations, but it saves on the wire run distance. Also with the door chase being so small you can barely fit anything thicker than 18 gauge wire.

As far as the speakers you were looking at, those are good for the price range you're in. Remember you get what you pay for. I was going to get the JL TR600 CSI's but decided to get the XR's. I'll let you know how they sound when I put them in.

I just got my goodies last week:

As far as sites to buy equipment from, if you haven't checked out http://www.woofersetc.com you may want to compare others to it. They're pretty good. I've ordered from them 3 times now.
