Hi guys,

I am planning to put a AMP and SUB into my 99 lara SLE with JBL system . Here is some Q I am wondering :

I don't want tp change the JBL speaker so far ,just put the AMP and SUB

About the stock AMP :

1: I must bypass it instead of let 2 AMPs work togethere ?

2: where is the best place for the AMP ?

3: what is the power range for AMP and SUB if I don't want other drivers feel too noisy ,and give me a finger :) .

wanfish (BEWBIE ).

PS,Is any solara guy in GTA area done the job by himself ?

1. No, you power the sub with an amp and let the stock amp power the front and rear speakers
2. probably behind the rear seats, screwed in
3.it all depends on the sub

this is what i did...

cut a sheet of wood pretty long, i think i did like 40" and ~12" tall. Mount the amp to that.

then from inside the car place it behind the seats. and it looks good and holds it in place

mine was a little short, so make it taller and longer, this is better beacause if someone breaks into your car they cant pull your amp out cause the wood rack is too big to slide into the trunk. This is all dependent on you using bolts to hold the amp in...
