This is probably a really, REALLY stupid question, but here it goes...

I've seen a few head units with USB connections right on the unit. Does this mean that I can connect my iPod to the unit with a USB connector, and it will allow me to play my iPod through my head unit?

Any feedback would be really appreciated.

Thanks.

Depends - the Headunit would have to have built in drivers/support for the ipod.

Any links to the Headunits? Never seen one with USB

(I'm moving this to audio)

Most of the headunits with USB ports support external hard drives and such, but may not support iPods through that methodology... IMHO the hard drives are better anyways if you have the cash and space...

Well, you can use an iPod as a hard drive, so technically, you'd be able to use it as a hard drive if the HU supported it. You just have to enable the iPod's use as a hard drive.
