Hi Guys,

My name is Chris and i live in a 2 solara household;) Mine is a gen1 and I have some audio questions.

I just purchased some alpine type R 6.5 and Im hoping they will drop into the doors with out any modifications. I would also like to use the stock wiring but I have an amp that I would like to hook up to the alpines. I would like to use as much stock wiring as possible. Im also adding a headunit and another amp for some subs.

Does anyone have some wiring schematics and or helpful tips or manuals. I have hooked up 2 systems myself so i pretty much know what im doing but any assistance especially with how i should bypass that stock amp using the stock wiring would be GREATLY appreciated.

I'm into computers and have hundreds of online books (computer related), programs, etc. If I can help anyone out I would be more than happy to share the wealth;)

Looking forward to meeting you guys.

Chris

Welcome to SolaraGuy!

The speakers might need some drilling and possibly a bracket, but I'm not sure; that's my next project since my right front speaker blew a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnng time ago and I've been too broke to replace it (and now my left front is following suit).

If you haven't purchased the head unit yet, Eclipse would be your best bet since you don't have to get wiring kits. As for amps/subs, I don't know anything about (when I get mine I'm taking it to a shop, but then again I want a steath setup with Audiobahn OD1200W's)

The Eclipse HU is from what I noticed other people say (but I haven't seen the connectors for an Eclipse though). However, for the amp bypass if you look in through the front opening, you'll notice in the back towards the bottom right there are 2 sets of wires connected by sockets of 2 different widths; just unplug them and use the 2 for normal audio and it therefore bypasses it.
