Does anyone know how sony xplod subs compare to other subs? im thinking about putting a system in my car with my stock head unit and i was looking at either one 15" L7 kicker or if the sony subs are good, 2 12s or one 15? they seem to have a high peak power, but do they hit hard? Thanks to anyone who replies, this is really going to help

I got the two Sony XL 12's in my car and I think they hit great for the money, especially when you hit lows. If you want to set of car alarms, I can vouch that these will do so. Kicker subs kick more ass and I'd go for that as well. As for 2 12s or 1 15, I'd go for 2 12s...maybe you can bridge the subs mono?

I've heard Sony is just about average, but then again I'm planning on getting a free-air and stealthing it inside the rear panels.

What are you going for Sound Quality or just straight up loudness? What kind of amp do you have?

If you're looking for reccomendations, what do you want to spend on the amp/sub?

Kicker 10" L5 is a good sub, they can take a beatin' wit power.
Kicker subs for me.

I have a single Sony 12" P5. At first I had it in a bandpass box and it hit ok. BUt I recently moved to a sealed enclosure and it hits quite a bit harder. I have been satisfied with my purchase.
