Does it really matter what type of RCA cables are used to connect a head unit to an amp?

Also, what's the approximate length needed, if the amp is in the trunk?

What do you think about one of these 6-ch cables so front/rear/bass are in one easy bundle:

the cable does matter.... those monster ones will do just fine

You will need about 17 feet for a pretty safe length. I ran 16 feet which was just enough... so 17 should give you some room to play with.

A decent RCA set will run around $90 anyhow... so may as well spend the extra few bucks for the monsters =D

I dont think its really neccessary o spend 90 dollars on RCA cables. Any decent shielded set will work fine. Fosgate, stinger, etc.
