DVD,CD,MP3 - In dash screens anyone?

My factory CD player just stopped working today in my 2000.

I'm looking to put a screen where the CD player is right now but don't know much about these. When I went out today to look around I came across an Eclipse system that's about $3000! Then I went to Best Buy and found a wireless Sony one that has a screen, dvd/cd/mp3 player and a seperate receiver for only $1400 installed.

Does anyone know if the wireless is any good? I'm not planning on going top quality, but I do want a reliable screen/player setup with decent quality.

What kind of setup do you guys have or suggest?

You can get the Eclipse AVN543 for about 1400 USD. It's so easy to install, the factory wiring plugs right into it.

Car-puter all the way. Don't have to worry about replacing it in a year plus you can do more than any deck on the market can. Also, the hardware is cheaper.. :)

I think I like the double din better. Especially in the winter.. I like my heater on and having that dash screen out and in the heater way seems alittle electronic dangerous to me..

Me too, I'm hoping to find some system where the screen will take up the entire space where the player is right now and if possible have that same system be the dvd/cd/navigation player instead of having a seperate unit(s) for the cd/dvd's.

Sweet!.... thanks man that helps a lot!

I was actually looking at that pioneer model D1, i think it has everything I'm looking for. I also like the other one beause the price. I'm not looking to have the best screen and top quality, just reliable products with at least average quality.

I'm also looking to keep the ride as light as possible, so no extra units would be helpful.
