Stock JBL Specs

I have an '02 SE V6 with JBL, and I'm trying to find the stock stereo specs so I can simply replace the stock speakers, I'm thinking of going with infinity kappa, or the reference series. What size speakers will work out-of-the-box in our cars, without any modifications? Also what are the specs of the speakers and the amp? RMS power/etc. I want to know how much the amp will put out so I don't waste money on speakers that the stock amp won't be able to take advantage of, or should I replace the amp? Thanks for all input.

You're better off upgrading the headunit first and bypassing the stock amp. The stock amp is rated at 200 peak and is not as good as a stock headunit (well, assuming you get a good brand).

The stock amp is located next to the ECU behind the glove box. Simply remove the glove box and you'll see the ECU (looks like a giant old school harddrive... 5.25") and the JBL amp (ribbed like a heatsink).

The JBL speakers have some decent power handling but need some cleaner mid-bass.

Front 6.5" , rear 6x9 (although you can put a bracket in and put in 6.5 and tweeters in the rear).
1GR-FE ftw!
