Dimensions and Locations of Amplifiers

I'm getting a little tired of my 1999 SLE and have decided to give it a makeover instead of a replacement. The JBL audio system will be the first component to be upgraded- new H/U, amp, speakers, and sub. Before I start ripping everything apart, I'd appreciate your help in putting a plan together!

Does anyone know the dimensions of the stock JBL amp behind the glove box? Or, rather, the maximum size of an amp that can fit in that location? I'd really like to take advantage of the hidden real estate and existing speaker wiring. Any recommendations on good amps put in that spot would be great, too!

Also, what locations in Solaras are best for amps? I used to attach my JBL GTH400 on the backs of the rear seat in my old car, but I can't do that anymore due to the rear seat fold-down locks that I use. The sub has to be removable, so I can't put the amp on the sub box either. Not being a professional, I have no idea where to put the amp unless it's in the stock amp location.

Thanks in advance, and happy new year! :drinking:
