I'm pretty hell bent on getting myself the -

http://www.kenwoodusa.com/product/product.jsp?productTypeId=37&sortBy=price&productId=2557

As a christmas present to me and my car.
Its a Double DIN, and while I know the original stereo is big, is it a DIN or a DIN 1.5, I always have found that double din stuff never fits like it should. : (

i plan to sell the 6 disc internal changer, do I include the amp with that or does that stay?
I used to know all about the sound system on my celica, and I'm reading here on the Solara but it appears the diff. models vary a bit.

by the way, my firend helped me flush mount the damm thing. there is no real cover in order to hide the damm thing. i took an old maxima stero and ripped of the face. now when i park the car i put the maxima face on and it gives th impression that there is an orignonal stereo. i can supply pics if anyone wants.

eugene, what other components are you using with the Kenwood DDX7015? What are the main points you like/don't like about it- I'm looking into it, too. Send some pics of the cover you improvised, please!

Can it receive any navigation input other than Kenwood parts?

Does the silver bezel around the H/U look good in a car with no silver? My Solara console is only black and I don't know if it'll look good with silver around the H/U?

Anyone have a soft copy of the user manual? There's none listed on the Kenwood site.

the unit is more or less perfect. the only down point was that the cover does not come off and just stays shown. there is a navi opiton from kenwood but it has to be purchesed by itself, and only the kenwwod brand will be compatible with it. i dont know about the color but my dash is the black and it looks fine. give me a day or two and ill post pics of the custom cover that was made

The Kenwood 7015 is a great double din screen head unit! I've been researching the heck out it for my new truck. I can show you a place where you can get for $899.99 if anyone is interested in it!

I'd get the DDX7015 in a heartbeat if there was a way I could make payments on it. $1k all at once is real hefty when you just bought the car in the first place :)
