Can never go wrong with the Alpine!

The Music Keg for Kenwood is cool, but I rather buy an iPod and have it wired to the Alpine since it has line inputs, therefore taking the iPod portable with you and making it easier to add music. 8)
Yeah, I've owned 2 Solaras so.............................Image

I've always loved the Alpine units, they're top of the line for reliability and clarity. I've heard Eclipse is good, too.

The Eclipse flipscreen is useless. If you get eclipse, get the double din units.

From those, I'd have to go with the Alpine unit! Just be prepared to pay for it =P

i feel that the Eclipse is the best sounding unit, kenwood has some awesome add ons, the pioneer has the most features, and the alpine is the middle of the road in everything, not the best in any category but an all star in all of them. Let me know if i can do anything for ya dude, im a dealer for all 4.

ALPINE all the way, my friend who has an IS300 has one just like the one in the picture, but it has green buttons instead of blue.
The blue buttons are the new version, it the same as the old one, but instead of green buttons it has blue ones.
The picture quality is really good too.

I will stand behind that :D As far as reliablity goes two of my friends and i all bought essentially top of the line(non video) pioneer premiere DEH-P940MP, kenwood excelon KDC-X859, and alpine hu's. Ive had the pioneer for about 2 years and just now the display is starting to flicker when i touch it ( lose connection in the face ? duno ) the kenwood's display got really dim and has red lines through it after about 18 months and it has been sent off under warranty several times for vareous problems so he gave up and spent 800 on and ecllipse (and loves it no problems so far :D ) and the alpine just died after about 6 months,

Ive had an eclipse normal h/u for over a year now, and ifs its anything to you it has been flawless and very crisp in sound quality. Id pick the eclipse just for the fact that I know their products are good.

The D901 does not have touch screen, I think u have it confused with the IVA-D300. I had a D900 and loved it. Id go Alpine hands down.
Alpine + Dynaudio = Sonic bliss.

For the price that you are going to pay for those screens, why not get the AVIC-N1 which offers the screen plus navigation

If not my vote is for the alpine
